Unfinished Engineered Hardwood Flooring by Timeless Wood Floors
Over the years, many clients have asked us for custom engineered hardwood colours or finishes.
Timeless Canvas, which is a collection of unfinished engineered hardwood in different grades, allowing you to customize any look using your choice of colours, stains, finishes and textures, using industry-leading Bona hardwood finishing products.
Traditionally, only solid hardwood floors were offered unfinished, i.e., raw, solid wood that needs sanding, staining and finishing. But solid wood floors are usually not available in wider planks, because warping can easily happen in a wide solid plank. Engineered flooring, however, can be designed with wider planks because of its cross-layered engineering, giving it great structural stability.
Options Available with Timeless Canvas
The combination of possibilities allows you to customize almost any look imaginable:
• Width of Plank – planks up to 9” widths available
• Species of Plank – choose the look of wood you prefer
• Grade – choose whether fine grain, or charactered with knots/sap lines
• Colour – starting with 26 stains, these are mixable for infinite colours
• Sealers – choose from 5 sealer looks, from Nordic wash, to deep oil
• Finishes – choose numerous finishes, from high gloss to textured
How it Works
To design and procure your Timeless Canvas custom engineered hardwood, here’s how the process works:
1. Contact a Flooring Installer who is Bona Certified.
2. Visit a Timeless Showroom with your Installer, to narrow down your choices
3. Your Installer will make you custom sample boards of your chosen looks to give you the look you desire.
4. Once you’ve settled on a look, your Installer will quote you on the entire project, including both flooring and installation, and arrange installation dates.
5. Once you approve, the project is underway.
6. Enjoy the beautiful engineered hardwood floor you’ve created.
7. If ever you need to replace a board, your installer will provide extra pieces for you to keep.
Depending on the floor and finish you’ve chosen, you may also be able to refinish and change the look of your floor in the future – ask your installer for details.
